I’m Max, a Copywriter & Creative Director living and working in Hamburg.
Wondering how I got here?

Growing up in Düsseldorf, you might eventually get your high school diploma, but you’re almost certainly destined to study economics.
My attempt to escape this fate began with an apprenticeship as a media salesperson. After finishing that, I obediently followed the local expectations and started the obligatory economics studies. But my quickly growing aversion to statistics, microeconomics, and the likes was only outmatched by my lifelong love for Hamburg. So, I swapped my studies in Düsseldorf for an internship in Hamburg—as a copywriter at Jung von Matt.
And it was good. Really good!

Apparently, I did pretty good too, because shortly afterwards,
copywriting became my first “real” job and Hamburg my new home.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to create headlines, copy, campaigns, films, PR stunts, and more amazing work for clients like Netflix, DAZN, Amazon Prime Video, PETA, adidas Football, DOSB, SHARE NOW, FREE NOW, NIVEA, Netto Marken-Discount, ALDI, and many others while working at agencies such as Jung von Matt/sports, Kolle Rebbe, Jung von Matt/SAGA, antoni, häppy and Serviceplan.

This work has earned us (not just me!) a few awards along the way.
But what’s equally important to me is that our work is seen, liked, and valued outside the creative industry, too. It should provide real value for real people – be entertaining, inspiring, and add something to their lives.
If my mom doesn’t like my idea, I haven’t met the brief.
No matter what the brief was.

Besides great advertising and my mom, I enjoy good food, hip-hop & streetwear, football (nur der HSV!), tennis, gaming, and of course, spending time with my Golden Doodle, Loki.
